Maradona in trouble

Unless Argentina wins tonight’s game against Paraguay, his WC dream in South Africa will be over. Tonight, he will make several changes for the squad. Normally, after the big loss against Brazil, you have to make changes. Now, he throws in a new full back and goalkeeper. We remembered former England manager McLaren did the same thing. In his last game vs Croatia, the choice of new goalkeeper backfired for England.

When the manager lost control of the team and things didn’t work out, he usually made constant changes. Most of the time, it makes thing even worse.

In front of crisis, experienced manager knows exactly what to be done and keep calm. Maradona looks calm. But, does he have clear idea of what’s going on? In my opinion, he shouldn’t rely on Heiz and Veron, he should settle down his regular squad sooner. Now, he has tried more than 50 players and still couldn't form a consistent team.

Now, it leaves God to decide his fate. As he said in WC86, he has “Hands of God”. Will luck be on his side tonight?
