Let's say, Holland fights and wins, then Italy beats France. In that case, Italy qualifies. Italy is such a team if they are given a small chance to escape, they will bit you later and win the big prize. Italy will play Spain in Q-final, in which case I fully believe Italy would win. In Semi-final, Holland and Italy meet again. Who do you think would win? If Holland doesn't keep the same form as they had in 1st round, I would say Italy will go to final!
So, to prevent that case from happening, losing to Romania is the simplest thing in the world.
